We have the
Digimon movie on and I think
Skyler is confused, especially because it's the dub. I don't think I blame him :B It's kinda nostalgic-making. I want to rewatch ALL of Digimon now.
But there is no time because we must pack.
It seems whenever there is running around I do a tl;dr post about everything that's been going on.
So, we had a very stressful week looking for places all over south east London. Quite early on we removed the Dulwich area from our search because it was proving to not be what we were after and transport was a nightmare. The guy who was showing us around was also not very good at his job so it was additionally frustrating.
We saw some great places in Blackheath and one in Lee which were also wonderful, but the place in Lee wasn't going to be empty in time and the places in Blackheath were too far from stations and transport.
We had seen a beautiful place online in Greenwich which I called up to enquire about, but it had gone. Luckily, the estate agent I spoke to suggested some other places for us to look at around the Isle Of Dogs area and so we began our search with this guy. He was insanely good, kept us informed of all places we were possibly interested in, if offers had been made on them, if new things that seemed like they'd interest us came onto the market. He was great, really and truly.
By the end of the week we were becoming quite disheartened and we had about a handful of places that matched up with parts of the things we were after but not everything. We were, effectively, trying to decide which place would be best to 'settle' for even after we'd prolonged our stay in London by a few days. We trudged into the estate agents on Saturday morning, feeling generally discontent and we asked if there was
anything else that he felt might work and he vanished off for a bit to see if anything had come up and then returned saying a place had come to them in the last few hours. It was so new they hadn't had their team go take photos or have a floorplan drawn up or anything.
As soon as we got into the place we were like THIS IS THE PLACE! CAN WE HAS, PLZ?! And got to signing.
Oh man. Ohhh man. It's so lovely ♥ Two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, open-plan kitchen leading into livingroom area, balcony and not too far from little shops and not far from the DLR stop East India giving us great transport links for Goldsmiths, the Excel (HINTHINT, GUYS ;D), central London and work for me.
Kulet was absolutely amazing in getting everything we needed for the estate agents, scanning and sending them in good time, getting exactly what we needed and just generally being his wonderful self. None of this would have gone so smoothly if not for him. I can't praise him enough, I really can't ♥
After that we got to enjoy the rest of the week, for the most part between getting paperworks together -^_^- We had a very fun time with
Kye,
Anne,
Camilla and
Sebastian on Saturday and Sunday, much dorking out and drinking was done and it was awesomeness. We then invaded Kye's place for the rest of the week and all was pretty spiffy in general. Great times were had by all.
Tuesday Skyler and I travelled back and London was taken over by a storm. It was proof that England is not made to cope with weather :| Lines of the tube were closed, Paddington was flooded, it was quite amusing in a hectic kind of way.
Wednesday we got a bit of a late morning getting up which was
lovely after the past week. Dad and I took a bunch of stuff to the dump and ended up having various deep and meaningful conversations in the lead-up to us relocating. All was generally well, but it was a mad house.
As it was today with dad returning to help with phonecalls. See, I was also waiting to hear back about my student loan application. I got a letter saying I was not entitled so spent the afternoon on the phone having to explain my situtation. Turns out there was a mis-ticked box and I just need to do a few little bits here and there to sort it. Huzzah!
Mel also came over this afternoon so there was much nattering about on-goings in London and watching of
House M.D. Will be seeing her again on Saturday, most likely for the last time until she comes to visit in London/I come back here.
So, tomorrow I must go to work and sort out my transfer to my new place in London, cancel benefits here, sort out the remaining requirements for student loan, do cancelling and traferring of things like phoneline, net, gas/electric stuffs to the new place,
pack and... yeah. Landlord comes over on Saturday, too.
Sunday is my last day of work in Torquay and mom's birthday.
Monday (in theory, if all goes smoothly) is when we'll be moving, but we will have this place until Thursday.
OTL
I have noticed that I am so frazzled I am doing very silly things like calling people COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NAMES orz I'm really sorry,
shahni, and anyone else I've been/will be all durr
hurrrr with over the last and week coming. The number of things I'm trying to remember is just andsadkjansjdkan ;___;
I must also get my Lelouch head on and get myself in gear to write these apps. Easier said than done. I said to Skyler writing characters like Lelouch means I need to do a LOT of prep before. I started doing all my notes when I first apped him at Amat but never finished. I'm hoping to replay Geass in the background while packing and get it all done. I may be hoping for too much here.
Ha ha ha... ;;; I'm actually pretty nervous about this now.Sooooo~ yeah. That's what's been going down.
I'm sorry for being all POOFvanish on people, especially Jigokuites. I have to post for Allen and Heine and reply to tags and suchlike +_+
